The Comox Lake is a lake in east-central Vancouver Iceland in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Comox Dam, built in 1913 and renovated in 1957, at the outflow of the Puntledge River regulates the outflow. The storage capacity of Comox Lake is 88.8 million m³. The target is at 135 m . The catchment area of the 20.9 km² lake covers 453 km². The main tributaries are the Puntledge River and Cruickshank River .
The inflows in the wettest months from November to January reach hourly maximum values of up to 900 m³ / s. In contrast, the inflows in summer can drop below 1 m³ / s. The dam regulates the water level. This serves the downstream hydropower plant, the drinking water supply, the fish population in the Puntledge River, various leisure activities (kayak) and flood protection.
