history

founding

Compact Space was founded by Christian Eigner, Daryl Bamonte and Florian Kraemmer. Christian Eigner has been playing drums for Depeche Mode for years and wrote several songs with Dave Gahan , both for Depeche Mode and for Gahan's last solo album, which he also co-produced. In his capacity as a musician, Eigner has contributed to more than 100 albums by various artists. Daryl Bamonte began working for Depeche Mode at the beginning of her career in 1980 and held various roles before working for The Cure for several years from 1995 . Florian Kraemmer is the son of an actress and an opera singer, today a successful composer of music for television productions, who began his classical piano training at the age of eight , which laid the foundation for his musical career. Eigner asked Bamonte for lyrics for his songs and completed the trio with his companion Kraemmer. When the song "Push Push" took shape, the three realized that this was the beginning of a joint project and they formed Compact Space .

The beginning

The first album, Nameless , was mixed by Paul "P-Dub" Walton. Danny Drysdale, who filmed the hit "Human" among other things, recorded the video for the single "Push Push". On June 23, 2011, the evening before the album was released, the band presented the nine songs in an audiovisual show in the Hamburg planetarium . Just a few weeks later, the trio began studio work on the second album, which is expected to be released in spring 2012.
