from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Compagnie des omnibus électriques Friborg – Farvagny SA - sometimes abbreviated as F – F , occasionally also known as the Compagnie des omnibus électriques FriborgPosieux – Farvagny SA - is a former Swiss transport company . The public limited company based in Bulle was founded on August 7th, 1911 and from January 4th, 1912 operated the Gleislose Bahn Freiburg – Farvagny , an early trolleybus overland line. The share capital was 450,000 Swiss francs , half of which was subscribed by the canton of Friborg and the other half by the neighboring municipalities.

As a result of the First World War , the company ran into economic difficulties, so on April 1, 1929, management was transferred to the Chemins de fer électriques de la Gruyère (CEG). The company finally bought this on June 30, 1930 for 85,000 Swiss francs and operated the trackless railway until it was closed in 1932.
