The Companion Reservoir is a reservoir in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
It is about 18 km north of Waratah and about 20 km south of Ridgley . The Emu River is formed in it , directly south of the small town of Ridgley . Approx. Mount Road (B18), also known as the Ridgley Highway , runs along 1 km from its west bank .
