Complejo del Sodre

The Complejo del Sodre (Sodre Complex) is a structure in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, erected in 1986 to build a cultural center for the SODRE and the construction of which began in 1989, is located in the Barrio Centro belonging to Municipio B on the streets Mercedes, Andes and Florida . The architects Jorge Di Pólito , Diego Magnone , Isidoro Singer and Juan C. Vanini were responsible for its construction . The Sodre complex, designed as an auditorium, culture and entertainment center, has eight floors with a height of 32 meters and a floor area of ​​285 m². The building was included in the patrimonial inventory in 2010 and has a degree 2 protection status. He is also assigned departamental protection status ( Protección departamental ).
