Computer Personal ( CP for short ) was a German-language mixed computer magazine from Markt + Technik Verlag that appeared fortnightly and was published for the first time in the early 1980s (from around February 1982). The first edition of the new year appeared at the end of the previous year.

history

Computer Personal was considered to be the "serious" user-oriented computer magazine from Markt + Technik Verlag, which in the 1980s soon concentrated mainly on reporting on IBM PC topics, whereas the sister magazine Happy Computer, which appeared from 1983 to 1990, was its fun magazine, that dealt with home computer topics was. In addition to information and practice on computer systems, mainly from the PC area, there were also hardware and software tests. From issues 4/1987 to 25/1990 the magazine contained the supplement Software-Journal , which dealt with software tests and tips. In the beginning, the programming of the home computer was also taken into account. In 1991 the PC magazine Plus and in 1992 Computer Live merged with Computer Personal . The editorial staff of Computer Live went to Computer Personal . Computer Personal has carried over some of the headings from Computer Live . From December 1992 to January 1993 there was a short-lived supplement Tele-communication . The computer magazine PC-Windows , which was published from 9/1993 to 1/1995 and dealt specifically with the Microsoft Windows operating system and was absorbed by PCgo, emerged from Computer Personal . As of 1994, the Personal Computer was accompanied by a CD-ROM with software. With issue 1/1995 the magazine was discontinued at the end of 1994.
