Concertino in the Hungarian way

The Concertino in Hungarian manner in A minor is an about 10-minute work of Oskar Rieding (op. 21) for violin and the piano , which is well suited for the educational use.

Violin part

The violin part only moves in the 1st and 3rd positions . In some places the 4th finger must be stretched in the 3rd position to the flageolet on the E string . Shifts take place relatively frequently, e.g. Sometimes with a slight glissando . String changes and chords over all four strings (also in pizzicato ) must be mastered safely in tempo.

However, all these subtleties are implemented in such a way that they appear relatively isolated and are therefore easy to practice.

Piano part

The piano part is interspersed with octave fingerings . While it is rather calm at first when accompanied, it does require good right hand coordination, especially in the solo passages . The tremolo , which sometimes appears parallel in both hands, is striking .
