Concha Piquer , actually María de la Concepción Piquer López (born December 8, 1908 in Valencia , † December 12, 1990 in Madrid ) was a Spanish singer and actress .

Concha Piquer was a well-known interpreter of the copla andaluza and tatuaje , a form of song that enjoyed great popularity in Spain, especially in the 1940s. In 1922 she came to New York at the age of 14 and later sang a. a. together with Eddie Cantor , Al Jolson and Fred Astaire . In 1923 she had an appearance in the phonofilm project From Far Seville by Lee de Forest . The film was shown at the Rivoli Theater in New York. In 1927 she also sang a song in the first sound film Der Jazzsänger .
