Concordia Goch (officially: Football Club Concordia eV 1919 Goch ) is a sports club from Goch in the Kleve district . The first women's soccer team once took part in the DFB Cup .

history

The association was founded in 1919. In 1987, the women’s team at Concordia made it to the then first-class Regionalliga West . In the 1987/88 and 1988/89 seasons, Concordia reached its sporting zenith in sixth place, before the team was bottom of the table in 1990. With the simultaneous introduction of the women's Bundesliga , the team slipped straight from first to third division. The department was later disbanded.

The men of Concordia became the first post-war district champions in the Kleve district in 1946 and qualified for the Linker Niederrhein district championship . There the team was clearly defeated by TuS Lintfort in the first round with 0: 8. From 1946 the Gocher played in the district class, where the Concordia 1948 was runner-up behind SC Kleve 63 . Two years later, the team was relegated to the district class. It was not until 1957 that it became possible again. Three years later, the relegation succeeded only after a decider win over Siegfried Materborn , before it went down in 1963 in the district class. Since then, the club has not got beyond the lower divisions and has played in the district league A since being promoted in 2012.
