Football Club Concordia Haaren is a football club from Waldfeucht in the district of Heinsberg , in the west of North Rhine-Westphalia .
history
The club was founded in 1912 and became a member of the West German Football Association in 1939. Four years later the club came to a standstill. For the 1949/50 season, the 1st team came because of the reorganization in the 1st district class. In 1955 the association had three reasons to celebrate. The 1st team reached the district league as champions of the 1st district class, the second team rose to the 2nd district class, and the A-youth also became champions.
60 years after it was founded, the seniors were promoted to the national league. After the club had to relegate to the district class in the following season, they immediately managed to get promoted again. The climax of the club's history took place in 1976. They had qualified for the first main round of the DFB Cup . In addition, they were drawn to the opponent Borussia Dortmund . In the Westfalenstadion , BVB won 10-0 on August 7, 1976.
A year later, he was promoted to the association league. Three years later, he was relegated to the regional league, and another three years later to the district league. Since the 2004/05 season, the 1st team in the district league B Heinsberg 2.
