Condorito is a Chilean cartoon character by René Ríos Boettiger , known as Pepo . It was inspired by the Disney film Saludos Amigos from 1942. First released in 1949, Condorito became popular across Latin America . Condorito lives in the fictional town of Pelotillehue. The stories usually end with someone fainting with an onomatopoeic “¡PLOP!”.
The magazine is now part of the Mexican group Televisa .
