Connla (Conn Cétchathach)
Connla [ 'koNla ], also Conle , is in the Celtic mythology of Ireland a son of the king Conn Cétchathach . His brother Art is the father of the famous King Cormac mac Airt .
Connla is the main character of the story Echtrae Chonnlai from the historical cycle . He falls in love with a fairy and follows her into the Otherworld against the wishes of his father Conn .
Eduard Stucken processed the material into his romance Connla .
Connla must not be confused with the legendary figure of the same name from the Ulster cycle, Connla , the son of Cú Chulainn and Aoifes .
