The Conrad Dietrich Magirus Prize has been awarded annually since 2012 for exceptional performance in the fire service sector. The prize is awarded by the fire protection technology manufacturer Magirus GmbH and bears the unofficial title “Fire Brigade Oscar ”.

Namesake

The Conrad Dietrich Magirus Prize is named after the Ulm fire brigade pioneer and entrepreneur Conrad Dietrich Magirus (1824–1895), who is one of the founders of the German Fire Brigade Association , is the inventor of the fire brigade turntable ladder and the company Magirus for the manufacture of fire fighting equipment Life called.
