Conrad Gebhardt
Conrad Gebhardt (born January 27, 1791 in Fürth ; † February 23, 1864 ) was a Fürth businessman and politician.
Conrad Gebhard was active in the city administration and in the community council of the city of Fürth. He was elected to the Frankfurt National Assembly and belonged to it from May 18, 1848 to November 8, 1848 as a representative of the national liberal casino parliamentary group .
Gebhardt bequeathed his collection of books, manuscripts, engravings and paintings to the city of Fürth on the condition that they be used in an "appropriate space" to "promote the education of the local population". Gebhardt's collection forms the starting point for the Fürth City Museum , which was only opened in 1937.
