Constantin Budeanu

Constantin Budeanu (born February 28, 1886 in Buzău , † February 27, 1959 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian electrical engineer who researched conditions in electrical energy networks and was involved in the development of the International System of Units .

Life

Budeanu studied electrical engineering in Paris with the help of a V. Adamachi scholarship, which he won after completing his studies in Bucharest . He suggested the designation " var " for the electrical reactive power .
