The Sport1 Media AG (until early 2020: Constantin Medien AG , in front of EM.Sport Media AG ), based in Ismaning in Munich , is an international media company. With its subsidiaries, the Sport1-Medien-Gruppe covers the entire value chain in the sports sector.

A takeover by Highlight Communications AG was completed on February 13, 2018. The delisting from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange took place on September 26, 2019.
The change of name to Sport1 Medien AG was decided at the 2019 Annual General Meeting. The change was entered in the commercial register of the city of Munich on January 2, 2020 (HRB 148 760) and thus became effective. The change of name also goes hand in hand with the change to the company's purpose, which was also resolved by the annual general meeting in July last year, which is now more geared towards the company's activities in the digital sector.
Major holdings
The subsidiaries of Sport1 Medien AG include: Sport1 GmbH, Magic Sports Media GmbH, Match IQ GmbH, PLAZAMEDIA GmbH and LEITMOTIF Creators GmbH.
In December 2019, the marketing area, which previously belonged to Sport1 Media GmbH, was integrated under the umbrella of Sport1 GmbH.
In addition to the activities of Sport1, the company portfolio of Sport1 Medien AG includes MAGIC SPORTS MEDIA as a marketing company in the areas of betting, poker, casino and lottery, and Match IQ as the sports event and consulting agency for associations, leagues and clubs in internationalization, match day handling and the organization of friendly matches, tournaments, training camps and trips abroad, PLAZAMEDIA as a content solution provider in the sports and entertainment sector for all media channels and LEITMOTIF as a consulting unit and provider of integrated communication solutions for companies and Brands. These companies continue to focus on third-party business as part of their business activities.
