Constantinos Hadzinikolaou ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Χατζηνικολάου Konstandinos Chatzinikolaou , * 1974 in Athens ) is a Greek filmmaker , video artist and author .

life and work

Constantinos Hadzinikolaou studied surveying at the National Technical University of Athens and film at the University of Paris III . He completed his master's degree in digital art at the Athens School of Fine Arts .

The 3-minute video Anestis (2017) and the 23-minute Super 8 film Woyzeck (2017) were shown at Documenta 14 . Ghosts of Freedom is an experimental documentary by Hadzinikolaou (in collaboration with the artist Yota Ioannidou (* 1976)). “Based on the murder of the Slovak journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová in February 2018, this episode film is about the limits of freedom of speech, the illusion of a liberal democracy and the forces that undermine this democracy: mafia practices, spread untruths , fake politics.
