The Athens School of Fine Arts ( Greek Ανώτατη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών , english Athens School of Fine Arts , just often ASFA ) is a leading university of fine arts in Greece. It is divided into two departments: the Department of Fine Arts and the Department of Art Theory .
The predecessor of the college was founded in 1837 and was later part of the National Technical University for decades . In 1910 it achieved the status of an independent university. The old campus and administration are located at Odós Patisíon 42. In 1992, most of the university's areas moved to the new campus (Odós Pireós 256) in a former textile factory from the 1950s, which was converted accordingly for the art school.
