The University of West Macedonia ( Greek Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας ) is a university in Greece . It was founded in 2004 from faculties of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . It has different campuses : In Kozani and in Florina .

history

The decision to found the University of Western Macedonia was made in 2002 under Prime Minister Konstantinos Simitis ; the corresponding law was passed in April 2003. In June of the same year, the Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs , Petros Efthymiou, appointed members of the university administration.

Education

The University of West Macedonia offers courses in three faculties, engineering , education, and applied arts . There is an offer for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies .

The university participates in the Erasmus program .
