Contadis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Contadis AG had supplied a large Swiss trading company, which last about 6,000 kiosks, train station shops, convenience stores, motorway service areas and trade in tobacco products in Switzerland with sweets, beverages and tobacco products from a range of approximately 10,000 different items.

history

The company went back to the company Säuberli & Co, founded in 1908. This merged with Max Oettinger AG in 2001 to form Contadis AG.

Until the end of 2015, Contadis was a subsidiary of the Oettinger Davidoff Group , in which its wholesale activities were bundled. In 2011 it achieved sales of around CHF 800 million. Contadis was based in Oberentfelden and had distribution centers in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne , Visp and Rancate .

In December 2015 Contadis was sold to Lekkerland (Schweiz) AG, a subsidiary of the German Lekkerland AG & Co. KG . The Oberentfelden location was closed by mid-2016, around half of the 90 employees who were still employed lost their jobs. The company was then dissolved by merging with Oettinger Davidoff AG. As a result of the sale of the Contadis activities, Oettinger Davidoff's sales fell by almost half in 2016.
