Content Reference Identifier

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Content Reference Identifier ( CRID ) is a special URI that is used in digital television networks as an identifier for identifying television series , individual television programs and groups of television programs. A CRID only relates to the content of a program (or a group of programs) and not to the channel and time of the program. A CRID is usually determined by a so-called "CRID Authority". Such a CRID authority can, for example, be located directly at the broadcaster or the provider of an EPG .
