Cora Santa Cruz
Cora Santa Cruz , actually Hilda García Ossandón (* 1907 ; † January 29, 2005 ) was a Chilean pianist , singer and actress .
Life
Cora Santa Cruz was the mother of the singers Sonia and Myriam von Schrebler . She introduced her daughters to Chilean folk music and was its artistic director in the early phase of the singing duo. She herself appeared in the Canturreando series of the Canal 13 television channel with fellow singers such as Benjamin Mackenna and Paz Undurraga and the journalists Adolfo Jankelevich and Valentín Trujillo . As an actress, she worked in Miguel Frank's Música en tu corazón (1946) and Patricio Kaulen's La Casa en que vivimos . Cora Santa Cruz was buried in her family's mausoleum at the Cementerio General de Chile .
