Cora Sue Collins
Cora Sue Collins (born April 19, 1927 in Beckley , West Virginia ) is a former American child actress.
Life
Cora Sue Collins made the leap into the movie business when she was four because she had the ability to cry on command in her movie roles. Her first film was the Slim Summerville comedy The Unexpected Father from 1932. In the years that followed, Collins had minor appearances in many major Hollywood productions and was one of the busiest child actresses. She starred alongside big screen stars such as Greta Garbo , Bette Davis , James Cagney , Claudette Colbert , Fredric March , Ginger Rogers and William Powell . Cora Sue Collins had her most notable appearances in literary adaptations : She embodied Tania in Anna Karenina (1935), the film adaptation of Lev Tolstoy 's novel of the same name, and the role of Amy Lawrence in Tom's Adventure (1938), a film adaptation of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer . The big breakthrough to the child star was denied her.
At the age of 18 she retired from the film business; by then she had made almost 50 films. She married a wealthy farmer in Nevada . In the past few years she has made a few public appearances at events related to old Hollywood.
