Cornelia Jacob
Cornelia Jacob , married Cornelia Doering (born April 3, 1960 in Halle / Saale ), is a former German speed skater who was once GDR champion . In 1980 she took part in the Olympic Winter Games for the German Democratic Republic and started for TSC Berlin .
Career
At the GDR speed skating championships in 1978 , she competed in the sprint all-around competition and won her first and only GDR championship title ahead of Christa Rothenburger and Marion Dittmann . In 1979 and 1980 she was also able to win a bronze medal. In 1980 she was nominated by the National Olympic Committee of the GDR for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and was used there over 500 meters. In this competition she missed a medal with sixth place.
