The Corregidor volcano is located in the Philippines off the Bataan Peninsula on the island of Luzon, between the South China Sea and Manila Bay .

It is a volcano that rises 173 meters above sea level. However, the actual and much older main crater of the volcano is under water. Its rim is formed by the islands of Corregidor and Caballo ; it is a caldera . The base diameter of today's volcano, classified as potentially active, is given as 4 km. There are no data on an eruption of the Corregidor, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has classified the Corregidor as potentially active since 2004.
