Corriere dei Piccoli

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Corriere dei Piccoli was the first regular comic magazine in Italy . It was published from 1908 to 1995.

The magazine first appeared on December 27, 1908 as a weekly children's supplement to the daily Corriere della Sera , but it was also available separately at the kiosk. Initially, child-friendly picture stories (by American and Italian draftsmen) as well as fairy tales and factual topics were in demand, but from the 1960s onwards, Franco-Belgian comics were increasingly offered to a young audience. In 1972 the comic magazine Corriere dei ragazzi was founded by the same publisher, and Corriere dei Piccoli was again active in the children's entertainment segment.

In 1992 the magazine was renamed Corrierino . The last issue was published on August 15, 1995.
