Corry Kawilarang

Corry Kawilarang (* around 1935) is a former Indonesian badminton player .

Career

Corry Kawilarang's greatest successes date back to 1962. At the first ever Asian Badminton Championship , she won the women's doubles with Happy Herowati that year . At the Asian Games of the same year, however, it was only enough for both of them to finish second behind their compatriots Minarni Sudaryanto and Retno Koestijah . In the individual, Corry Kawilarang also took second place behind Minarni Sudaryanto at this event. At the fourth national sports games PON IV ( Pekan Olahraga Nasional ) she was also able to play on the podium in 1957 and won silver in doubles. In 1961 she won gold in singles at the sports games, where she won the final against Minarni, and in 1969 again bronze in doubles with Nurhaena .
