Cosma

Cosma (* 1979 in Qiryat Bialik in the Haifa District in Israel ; † 10. February 2003 in Goa ; actually Avihen Livneh ) was a musician who Goa - trance produced -music.

Live and act

Avihen began his musical life in the dark clubs of Haifa and the surrounding area. He listened to a lot of new wave and electronic music, like Depeche Mode , The Sisters of Mercy , The Cure , Front 242 etc. Then his trance phase began. After many parties, he started making music himself in 1998. Because he had a lot to do with the computer in his childhood, it was only natural for him to make music with the PC.

He first founded the group Diablo with Benny Risher . They produced an album Insufficent Memory on the Pandra Recors record label in 1999. Avihen wrote five of the tracks and the other four were written by Benny, who also produced the album. They also released two tracks on Compilations: Hop She Goes ... and Papa (Space Mantra) .

The two decided to break up the group and Avihen started working under the name Cosma . (The name was suggested by DJ Jorg from SST).

In September 2001 he released his debut album Simplicity with the record company BNE. On February 10, 2003, he died in a motorcycle accident in the Indian state of Goa.

His second album Non Stop was released by Hommega after his death in June 2003 . He had also produced three records and many individual tracks for compilations.
