The Cottbuser Radstadion is located in the Brandenburg city of Cottbus . It is located in the Cottbus sports center , which, along with other sports facilities and a sports boarding school, belongs to the Brandenburg Olympic base .

The track is 333.33 meters long and made of concrete with a synthetic resin coating. It is half-open, which means that the runway and spectator stands are covered, only the interior is open. It was inaugurated in its current form on October 31, 1987 after an extensive reconstruction. The Max Reimann Stadium , completed in 1952, had an athletics stadium and a 400 m cycling track , where excellent cycling was offered to hundreds of spectators in the 1950s and 1960s. The highlights were the annual races for the Easter and Whitsun prices. This 400 m roundabout was demolished beforehand and the new runway built at the same place. The new cycling stadium offers seating for around 1900 and standing space for around 1300 spectators. The railway is owned by the city.

Since the reopening, German track championships have been held on the track five times, most recently in 2016. In 2007, the European track championships for the youngsters were held there, and in 1995 and 1996 races of the Track Cycling World Cup . Every year the RSC Cottbus organizes an international and high-class sprint tournament , the German Sprint Grand Prix . Furthermore, the Cottbuser Nights in track cycling have been held annually since August 2012 .
