Cowboys on Dope is a rock band from Cologne that was founded in 1996.
history
As a side project to their band Rausch , Peter Sarach and Wolly Düse founded the formation Cowboys on Dope in 1996. The intention was to play concerts with the least amount of effort. In 2001 guitarist Thorsten Dohle joined them. What is special about the trio's instrumentation is that drummer Wolly Düse uses an empty guitar case instead of a drum kit and the amplifiers are the size of a shoebox. The band played concerts at the WDR Rockpalast and supported bands like Eels , Scorpions or Fury in the Slaughterhouse .
The trio created the score and the soundtrack for Peter Thorwarth's film Not My Day and also appears in the film as a rock band called Donar.
