Cowie is in Dorf in the Stirling Council Area in Scotland . It is located on the small country road B9124, about six kilometers southeast of Stirling and about two kilometers north of the A9 . The 2011 UK census found a population of 2,649.
Cowie was originally a mining village and stone was quarried in the area. It is now the location of a factory for the manufacture of wood-based products and other light industry.
