Coyote (2010)

Coyote (born October 9, 1962 in Rodez , † August 9, 2015 in Toulouse ) was a French cartoonist and author. He was the author of several humorous comics. Coyote was part of the rocker scene , which is also reflected in his work.

Coyote, who did not appear in public under his real name, had been a motorcycle fan since childhood. In the late 1980s he illustrated for various motorcycle and comic magazines and created the rocker Mammouth , who is part of the series Mammouth & Piston together with his rat Piston . An early comic book appeared in 1989 in a volume with comics by other artists, including Frank Margerin .

In 1990 Coyote started working for the comic magazine Fluide Glacial . While he first introduced the character of the Clochard Bebert there, the first pages of Litteul Kevin , a comic about the son of a rocker, named after Coyote's own son , appeared in 1991 . This subsequently became Coyote's most successful creation, which resulted in several comic albums. The tenth volume in the series was published in 2013. Two albums in German were published by Alpha Comic Verlag under the name Littel Kevin .

Another work by Coyote is the series Les voisins du 109 , launched in 2006 , which he wrote with Nini Bombardier. A volume was published in German under the title The Neighbors at Ehapa .
