Craegard

Craegard is a villa in the Scottish village of Corrie on the Isle of Arran in the North Ayrshire Council Area . In 1995 the structure was included in the Scottish Monument Lists in Monument Category B.

The late 19th century villa is located at the southern end of the coastal town of Corrie next to the junction to High Corrie . It is set back from the A841 coastal road . The building is one-story with a loft. The masonry consists of roughly hewn, embossed , red sandstone . The plastered and whitewashed gable surfaces are designed with half-timbering. The entrance is on the right on the east-facing front. This is asymmetrically designed with a twin window in the gable surface. The building is designed in this style throughout. The gable roofs are covered with gray slate.

Beyond the villa there is an outbuilding that houses a residential unit as well as stables and a slaughterhouse. The one-storey building has an L-shaped floor plan and ends with a slate-covered hip roof . At the back there is an extension with a pent roof .
