Craggy Island (from English craggy , rocky, rugged, rugged ” ) is a narrow island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands , characterized by rocky outcrops . It is located near the east side of Desolation Island and forms the northeastern boundary of Blythe Bay .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it in 1935 and gave it its descriptive name.
