Craig Casault

Craig Casault is a retired American basketball player . He ran on in the late 1970s and early 1980s for Bundesliga club MTV Wolfenbüttel.

career

The 2.02 meter long, from Sturgis (US state Michigan ) native Casault played basketball at Sturgis High School until 1971, where he also played athletics and American football . As a Sturgis High School player, he set a school record with 48 rebounds in one game. The wing and inside player represented the colors of the basketball team at Saint Mary's College of California between 1972 and 1975 . In terms of statistical values, the season 74/75 Casaults was the most successful: He scored an average of 11.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per encounter. He majored in biology at the university .

For the 1975/76 season he moved to the Netherlands as a professional basketball player , where he strengthened Transol Rotterdam Zuid.

From 1978 to 1981 he played for MTV Wolfenbüttel  in the basketball league and in the European Cup. In the Bundesliga he scored a total of 2255 points.

Upon his return to the United States, Casault worked in Sturgis for 37 years, operating the school buildings. In October 2019, Casault was inducted into the Sturgis High School Sports Hall of Fame .
