Crassula ausensis is a species of the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae).
description
The dwarf plants are heavily branched and form groups. The leaves are in a basal rosette . The inverted lanceolate to elliptical leaves are 15 to 35 millimeters long and 6 to 11 millimeters wide. The gray-green epidermis is covered with short, spreading hair. The leaves are reddish in color at the tips and edges. The inflorescence is formed from elongated thyrses with several spherical dichasias . The flower stalk can be up to 80 millimeters long. The triangular, pointed sepals are up to 3 millimeters long and ciliate at the edges. The petals form a tube up to 6 millimeters long and are white to cream-colored.
distribution
The succulent species grows in the south of Namibia in the plains with quartz and granite pebbles.

A distinction is made between three subspecies, which differ from the species in the habit of the leaves:
