Credit Lifeis a specialist in securing payment obligations. These security solutions are sold through partners such as banks, building societies, payment services, mobility providers, energy providers, free finance brokers and insurance companies whose customers get into financial difficulties or are faced with unforeseen losses. The portfolio includes, for example, residual credit insurance for private and commercial customers, purchase price insurance, GAP Leasing & GAP Finance, term life insurance, protection solutions for real estate financing and consumer loans as well as credit cards. These are individually designed services that are adapted to the requirements of the partners and their customers in all areas, from product development and tariff calculation, through legal advice and technical connection to sales support and service processing. 1979: Acquisition of a majority stake in Ontos Restschuld-Lebensversicherungs AG based in Cologne by Rheinland Versicherungs AG ; Start of sales of residual credit insurance.

2002: Establishment of Credit Life International NV with headquarters in Rotterdam , takeover of the residual credit insurance business and distribution of residual credit insurance under the Credit Life International brand.

2004: Expansion of the residual debt business to Austria .

2006: Relocation of headquarters and business premises to Venlo.

2007: Establishment of a residual debt insurance sales unit in Poland .

2008: Expansion to the Czech Republic , Slovenia , Hungary and Slovakia .

2009: Certification of the operative business areas according to the new DIN EN ISO 9001: 2008.
