The Crescentia Pilgrimage Route is an approximately 88 kilometer long pilgrimage route from Kaufbeuren via Mindelheim and Ottobeuren back to Kaufbeuren. The route is based on a route that Saint Crescentia is said to have covered during her time as a nun in the Franciscan monastery of Kaufbeuren .
description
The path starts and ends at Kaufbeuren Abbey and leads through the districts of Ostallgäu and Unterallgäu . The route, which was opened in 2003, is mostly away from the streets and often on narrow footpaths and, in addition to a large number of wayside crosses, wayside shrines and chapels, touches the Irsee , Ottobeuren and Mindelheim monasteries .
