Cristiano Bortone

Cristiano Bortone (born July 2, 1968 in Rome ) is an Italian film producer , director and screenwriter .

Life

Bortone graduated from New York University with a degree in film and television in 1991 . His short film Loisida , made in 1990, had already won the special award at the Bellaria Film Festival ; back in his home country, he founded Orisa Produzioni the following year , with which he financed numerous films by other directors as well as his own works. In addition to numerous documentaries and works for advertising, he made his first feature film in 1994.

His second film, Sono positivo , made in 1999 , dealt with the subject of AIDS in comedy form, which not only found supporters. The film produced by him Saimirs decision , the Francesco Munzi 2004 staged, won several awards at festivals. After all, Bortone was able to win the David Giovani Premio the following year with his own red as the sky .
