Critical Role is an American web series in which a group of professional voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons . The series firstaired liveon Twitch in March 2015, after the group had already played a large part of the first campaign privately at home.

Campaign 1 (Tales of Vox Machina)

The first campaign ran for 115 episodes and ended in October 2017. Game director was Matthew Mercer and the campaign was titled Tales of Vox Machina . Players were Travis Willingham, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, Orion Acaba and Laura Bailey. These are all voice actors.

Campaign 2 (The Mighty No)

The second campaign was entitled No The Mighty . It started in January 2018 and has been on pause since March 17, 2020 after 99 episodes due to the COVID-19 pandemic . You play in almost the same line-up as in the first campaign, only Orion Acaba is no longer there.

The series is broadcast live on Thursdays at 7 p.m., California time, on its own Twitch channel. Subscribers can access the series immediately afterwards on the Twitch channel, on the following Monday it will be published on YouTube .

Production company

Critical Role is also the name of the own production company run by the actors themselves. The company has been producing the programs Critical Role and Talks Machina since 2018 as well as other smaller programs for its own channels on Twitch and YouTube.
