The Cross Mesa ( Spanish Meseta la Cruz ) is a 40 m high and overgrown hill with a flattened summit on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Fildes Peninsula, it rises east of Square Rock Point .
Chilean scientists named it around 1984 after a wooden cross erected on the hill. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2007.
