The Square Rock Point is a cape of King George Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the east side of the Fildes Peninsula , it marks the southern end of Ardley Cove .
Chilean scientists named it Roca Cuadrada ( Spanish for square rock ) in 1958 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 2007 in an adapted form.
