Cruiserweight is an indie rock band that formed in 1999 in Austin , Texas .
Band history
The band was founded by Yogi and Urny, a short time later their sister Stella joined them as singer, then a friend, Dave Hawkins, as bassist. In 2000 the first self-produced EP First Day of School was released .
In 2001 the second EP This Will Undoubtedly Come Out Wrong came out, with which they found their style. They sold 12,000 copies of this EP through their own distribution and then went on tour with bands such as Midtown , New Found Glory , Jewel and The B-52s .
The Doghouse Records label signed them and produced the album Sweet Weaponry with them . The album was released in the USA in 2005 and in Germany in 2006.
