New Found Glory is an American punk - band , originally from Coral Springs , Florida native and now in California is located.
Band history
The band was founded in 1997 under the name "A New Found Glory" and in June of the same year recorded the EP It's All About the Girls on the Fiddler Records label . Since the group was able to gain a certain degree of awareness by winning the Slammie Awards as Florida's best newcomer band and their performances, this first pressing was soon sold out and they already had a growing fan base . Her first album was later released on Eulogy Recordings and her next EP, From the Screen to Your Stereo, was released in 1999 on Drive-Thru Records. Then the band switched to the MCA label , where they recorded their self-titled album New Found Glory . The first single Hit or Miss made it to number 15 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks.
In 2001 New Found Glory accompanied Blink-182 on their tour as a support act and was on the Warped Tour .
The breakthrough followed with the album Sticks and Stones , released in 2002 , which sold over 91,000 times in the first week alone and entered the US album charts at number 4 . The songs My Friends Over You , which reached No. 2 on Modern Rock Tracks, No. 85 in the US Singles Chart and No. 30 in the UK Charts , and Head on Collision , which came to No. 64 in the United Kingdom, were decoupled.
In 2002 and 2004, New Found Glory headlined the Warped Tour .
The single All Down Hill from Here from the third album Catalyst was released in May 2004. The album was even more successful than its predecessor and sold 146,000 times in the first week. The record rose to number 3 in the US charts.
On September 12, 2006, the album Coming Home was released, which was produced by Thom Panunzio. He has worked with Ozzy Osbourne and Tom Petty . The album is more melodic and slower than its predecessors. Reviews refer to it as "grown up", which is also due to the fact that the band paid more attention to the stories told this time around. Coming Home found 38,845 buyers in the first week of sales.
On September 16, 2008, New Found Glory signed a contract with Epitaph Records . The new label released the seventh studio album Not Without a Fight on March 10, 2009 , which is more reminiscent of the two parts of From the Screen to Your Stereo than the previous album . The record was produced by Mark Hoppus , the bass player for Blink-182.
New Found Glory performed at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park music festivals in the summer of 2009 .

former members
- Steve Klein (born September 30, 1979) was a founding member and rhythm guitarist of the band. Because he couldn't handle his guitar very well at first, they separated from him.
