Cruzcampo
Cruzcampo is a Spanish brewery in Seville and the headquarters of Heineken España SA
history
In 1904 Roberto and Tomás Osborne Guezala founded a brewery in Seville under the name La Cruz del Campo (translated: the cross of the field , named after a nearby cross that was venerated as a sanctuary in a small temple). In 1926, the legendary beer king Gambrinus was chosen as the official company logo of the company, now renamed Cruzcampo . In 1991 the brewery merged with Guinness . In 2000, Cruzcampo was taken over by Heineken and today, together with the Spanish brewery El Águila, forms the Heineken España group of companies , which supplies the entire Spanish beer market.
