Cryptogam Ridge

Crytogam Ridge is a mountain ridge with east-west orientation on Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It looms south of Cummings Cove .

Lichen and moss (the so-called and eponymous cryptogams ) settle in large numbers on the northern flank of this mountain ridge . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the designation in 1991.
