Crytogam Ridge is a 1.5 km long and 0.5 km wide mountain ridge on the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . With a height of 2733 m , it extends on the main crater of Mount Melbourne between Terra Nova Bay and Wood Bay .
Italian scientists named it in 2002 after the unique cryptogams , communities of lichen , moss , algae and microorganisms found here .
