Cuauhtémoc Vargas Almaguer
Santiago Cuauhtémoc Vargas Almaguer (born June 10, 1962 in Monterrey , Nuevo León ) is a former Mexican football player who mainly played in midfield and currently works as a coach.
career
Vargas was a professional player between 1983 and 1987 with CF Monterrey under contract. It was his only engagement in the top Mexican division . In Torneo México 86 he won the Mexican football championship with the Rayados .
Between 2007 and 2012, Vargas was part of the coaching staff at Jaguares de Chiapas , where he worked as assistant coach for the first team until 2010 and was then primarily responsible for the U17 youth team.
