Cubadak is an approximately 40 km² large, uninhabited island off the west coast of Sumatra , near Padang .

Sandy beaches, lined with coconut palms, where giant turtles lay their eggs, as well as pristine jungle characterize the nature of this island. Since the 1990s, the Italian Nanni has been running a holiday resort with his wife Federica in agreement with the local fishermen. The island is the starting point for diving excursions, sailing and is mainly used for recreation.
