Cuja Mara Split

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cuja Mara Split is an ice cream product by Langnese that has been sold in Germany since 1985.

Cuja Mara Split consists of milk ice cream on a wooden stick, which is coated with a layer of yellow fruit ice cream with a passion fruit flavor. As early as the 1960s, the product was sold under the name Split as raspberry ice cream with a vanilla core, later this was initially covered with fruit ice cream with an orange flavor. In 1984 Langnese brought a full fruit ice cream Cuja Mara on the market (without vanilla core), which was abandoned in 1985 in favor of a relaunch of the Split . Together with a new lettering, Split was called Cuja Mara Split from then on . It is one of the “popsicle classics”.

On the current packaging, the ice cream is shown together with a halved passion fruit and two halved oranges.
